CHIVANE is based in California and was founded by Vanessa Alfaro, a Bolivian-American Entrepreneur and Fashion Designer. We are a socially-conscious fashion brand that believes in designing high-quality, affordable clothing and accessories and giving back to those who need it the most.

In addition to bringing you must-have styles, our mission is to give back to children in need. We support orphaned children and poor children in third-world countries by helping to provide healthcare, shelter, education, nutritious food, clean water, clothing, and much more.
Our Passionate Founder
Vanessa Alfaro was born in Bolivia in the city of Cochabamba. At 17, she began a successful career as a model, during which time she was featured on countless magazine covers and in newspapers. She was also well-known on the runways and competed in her fair share of beauty pageants.
As a model and beauty queen, she earned a variety of titles, including Queen among the models and Miss Photogenic. Her time in the industry sparked her love for clothing design, textiles, fabrics, and colors, proving to be the ultimate catalyst for her one-of-a-kind vision of men’s and women’s apparel.
Vanessa was only 19 when she started her first company, Sonne Imagen & Production. Her company specialized in brand licensing, creating, designing, marketing, and brand publicity. During this same period, she graduated Cum Laude with a degree in commercial engineering from Bolivian Catholic University. After graduating with honors, Vanessa continued on to get her Master’s degree in finance, along with a focus on fashion and graphic design.
The Start of Something Amazing
At 24, Vanessa moved to the United States, where she continued to nurture her passion for design. She also continued working as an actress, entrepreneur, and model. She worked as a TV host, appeared in the movies, and worked as a lead in numerous music videos. Her achievements include a collaboration with Usher and close work with Jack Black on the set of I-Carly.
Her work in fashion design, marketing, and licensing was no less impressive. She has worked with big-name brands including FIFA, Nestle, Pepsi, Petrobras, Suzuki, and Toyota.
Vanessa has the distinction of creating a line of ready-to-wear clothing for FIFA. It was just for women, making it the first of its kind. The line she designed was worn for the 2014 World Cup, which took place in Brazil. She is the only designer to use the official logos of the World Cup for a clothing line for women.
Currently, Vanessa has turned her attention to designing couture gowns, along with ready-to-wear clothing, bridal wear, high-end jewelry, and leather goods.

The Birth of CHIVANE
After 15 years in the fashion industry, Vanessa Alfaro had the vision to create an online fashion store that carried a variety of US and Imported brands. She wanted to incorporate a fashion-forward, chic style that would make women feel and look beautiful, fashionable, and comfortable at very accessible prices. That's when CHIVANE was born!
